Maple Fudgey Bites


A richly decadent healthy cacao treat

Bottom Layer: 

1 tablespoon Cacao Gold Cacao Powder
1/4 cup Cacao Gold Cacao Butter
1/2 cup hazelnut meal
1/2 cup walnuts
1/4 cup maple syrup  

Top Layer:

1 small avocado mashed
1/2 cup Cacao Gold Cacao Powder
1/4 Cup carob powder
1/4 cup rice syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla paste
1 teaspoon lucuma or Maca Powder 
<1/4 cup desiccated coconut


Bottom layer:
In a strong blender mix 1 Tablespoon Cacao Gold Powder, Cacao Gold Butter, hazelnut meal, walnuts and maple syrup.
Line a loaf tin with baking paper.
Press mixture evenly along the bottom.
Dot with dried cherries or cranberries or crystallized ginger or candied orange (or a mix of any - 1/3 cup max).
Freeze for 20 mins.

Top Layer:
Blend all top layer ingredients together. It will be very thick so don't overheat blender!)
Remove the tin from the freezer, spread top layer mixture evenly over bottom layer.
Dust with desiccated coconut
Refrigerate 1 hour.
Lift out of the tin, remove liner and carefully slice into small squares and enjoy!
