Raw Cacao Bliss Balls

I’ve helped clients cut back on sugar and created this snack so we aren’t deprived of yummy treats and helps push through the 3pm slump! The other benefit is that they’re good for you as well as tasting delicious – a win-win- full of fibre and good fats and antioxidants.

There’s no actual cooking involved at all… you’ll whip this one up in less than 10 minutes.

2 cups walnuts
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup shredded coconut
2/3 cup Luxury Organic Cacao GOLD Powder
7 fresh dates, pitted and coarsely chopped
1/4 cup of water
Pinch of Peruvian Pink Salt

In a food processor bowl, combine the walnuts, sunflower seeds, dates and shredded coconut.
Pulse for 30 seconds until combined.

Add the cocoa powder, salt, water and maple syrup to the bow and process until the mixture forms a firm paste.
You will hear the mixture start to come together. This signals when ingredients are well combined.
Form the paste into medium sized balls by rolling a portion of the paste between your palms in a circular motion.
Place the finished balls on a tray lined with waxed paper and sprinkle with coconut for a nice touch.
Chill for 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

+ Add more dates if you like it sweet/moist
+ Add more coconut to make it dryer
