Hey there! my names Talisa (Lisa)

I’m a design student, model, yogi and vegan with passion for healthy desserts.

With a very dominant sweet tooth, there’s nothing more satisfying to me than sinking my teeth into something decadently sweet with the added pleasure of knowing it’s made from pure whole ingredients and superfoods that pack a nutritional punch.

In my opinion, healthy and raw desserts made with love are ten times more delicious than any other traditional unhealthy dessert. The desserts I make are free from refined sugar, flour and dairy-making them pleasures you can enjoy every day.

You have probably already heard about the health benefits of raw cacao, activated nuts, super fruits, coconut etc. These sacred superfoods make up the base for my dessert recipes and some are available on the Power Super Foods website. Power Super Foods is my favourite superfood brand, always producing the freshest quality powders and ingredients which are beautifully packaged. Purchasing Power Super Foods products also contributes part of their profits to various organisations around the world including wildlife defenders, bonus!

If you’re interested in dietary advice, here are some tips that have kept me happy and healthy:

Listen to your body and be very aware and conscious about eating:

Be sensitive to your body’s needs. Meditation will help you to become more conscious and in tune with your body to determine what it needs to be nourished, rather than what the unconscious mind desires.

Keep in mind that humans are natural vegetarians:

Our Intestinal tract length, stomach acidity levels, saliva, intestine and teeth shape are all characteristics of a herbivore. A diet free from animal products creates less heaviness and sickness in the body.

Respect food, love yourself:

Food is divine, a gift to be accepted with deep love and gratitude. Don’t stuff or starve the body; that is the opposite of nourishment. If you love your body you will eat until you’ve reached a perfect point of not being hungry or bloated.

All of my dessert recipes are listed on my instagram account: @cacaonuts for the time being until I have the time to launch an ebook and blog.
