Lara Tupper - Next Generation of Health Series

Tell us about yourself, your tennis success and training regime.

My name is Lara Tupper and I am a dedicated tennis player who also adores spending time in the sun, reading a good book and visiting and eating at every health food café I can get a hold of! This is of course being fitted in with my training schedule!

Reading a good book and visiting healthy cafés are Lara's fave ways to chillax

At the moment I am ranked 3 in QLD and 15 in Australia for my age. For this I have a constant training schedule. This involves training everyday (including weekends if there isn’t a tournament) and this amount of training will range from 1-3hrs per day!

I have won numerous tournaments, which rank from junior tournaments to AMT (Australian Money Tournaments) which anyone of any age can enter.

In the future I hope to be playing the Junior Australian Open and my ultimate dream would to be a professional tennis player, all of us need a goal and a dream for something to work towards.

Tell us how important you feel your diet is to your training and ensuring your best performance on the court.

With the amount of training that I do on a daily basis I believe that diet is so important to feeling energized and performing my best on and off the court! As some people say energy is the key! I am, truth be told, a lover of all health food products especially the ones that Power Super Foods supply. The range and different benefits that each product has, helps me continuously with my tennis career.

Yes, I am one of those genuine “lovers of all health food”. I love to research and find new recipes and products that will provide nutritional benefits not only towards my tennis career but life in general.

What do you hope to be doing in 5 years’ time?

In the next 5 years I am hoping to have moved onto the Junior professional circuit and maybe even going to college in the US to enhance my tennis career. I would also maybe love to start up my own blog when I get time! But to be honest who knows what the future holds.

Tell us what you thought of the Cacao Powder, Goji/Nibs blend and the Maqui powder we sent to you.

The products at Power Super Foods are all fabulous. I was lucky enough to receive the Goji/Nibs mix, which is amazing on top of my smoothie bowls. The Maqui is something that I have been dying to try for a while now and it was delicious mixed into my oatmeal and gave it a fabulous vibrant purple colour which I just loved and to be honest I love Cacao full stop I will put it in everything it is fabulous, that’s all that even needs to be said about Cacao!
